Return to Outpost 31 in The Thing: Remastered - Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch. Developed by remaster specialists Nightdive Studios using their proprietary KEX Engine and published in collaboration with Universal Games, this enhanced edition brings the legendary 2002 survival horror game back to life.
Serving as the official canonical sequel to John Carpenter’s iconic 1982 film, step into the boots of Captain Blake, leader of a U.S. Special Forces rescue team sent to investigate the gruesome events at the Antarctic research station. Command your squad of engineers, medics, and soldiers while managing the revolutionary Fear & Trust System—your teammates react to horrific sight lines, and anyone can be infected by the shape-shifting alien entity. Conduct real-time blood tests, utilize flamethrowers and heavy weaponry, and survive hostile Arctic weather. Nightdive’s remaster delivers updated 3D character models, enhanced lighting and shadow effects, antialiasing, and smooth performance in both Handheld and TV modes.
